HyDrive Engineering has continued to see growth in exports of large electronic steering systems for commercial vessels in China.
Grahame Anderson, General Manager of HyDrive Engineering in South Australia, who confirmed the export order of three E-Series Electronic Steering Systems shipping this month said “Our focus on growing opportunities in China and brand quality recognition has resulted in increased market penetration into a much larger customer base and this new export order.”
“The flexibility to incorporate multiple stations and different control types of E-Series steering has suited the complex steering requirements of the vessels in Asia and, in particular, this shipment to China. This order is for 60metre coastal patrol vessels operating along the Hainan Province marine precinct and includes 5000 Series dual cylinders on double tiller arms for up to 8 Tonne/Metres rudder torque requiring two sets per vessel and Dual Power Packs.”
HyDrive Engineering is located in Wingfield, an industrial suburb of Adelaide, capital of South Australia, which is strategically close to Port Adelaide’s ship building dockyards, Adelaide Marine Precinct and Osborne Naval Shipyard.
